Investigating ACC as a potential strategy for improving fruit removal and anticipating harvest in Almonds

This project focuses on Plant regulators to improve fruit detachment and harvest efficiency. We aim to investigate ACC (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid) as a potential tool for anticipating harvest for growers' benefit in reducing the damage caused by the pest Navel Orange Worm. We will investigate almonds, fruit development, ripening process, and how to characterize them using field techniques with this strategy.
